I just made a new Voki. DLC #7

  1. Well, this was my first attempt at making a Voki character. It was exciting trying to create a Voki to look like myself. Then for the audio, you could either type your words and have a voice speak the words or call this number and record your own voice. I wanted to use my own voice so I called this number and they called me back within a minute. It was easy! I just read my script into the phone and that's how my "own" voice appeared. I am definitely going to have my students give this a try. I'll let you know how it goes.

  2. In fourth grade we were reading about inventions in the Scott Foresman Reading Street core program. I decided to have my students research an invention, write a summary, and then create a Voki character to "read" the summary. They really enjoyed creating their Voki characters. The most important part of the project was the research and writing the summary. The Voki character was just a cool way to present their invention.
